Felicitation ceremony for Senior Citizen above 75 years of age has been organized by My Retired Life Team (MRL) formed under the leadership Dr. A.K. Sengupta, Mentor SIES College, Nerul. Around 20 Senior Citizen above 75 years of age were identified and registered for award and felicitation. Mr. R.K Jain, noted industrialist and Chairman IMC, Chamber of Commerce and industry, Navi Mumbai as well as Mrs. Netra Shirke, NMMC Corporator felicitated the senior citizens in presence of around 150 members.
Mr. Jain spoke that services of senior citizen to our society is remarkable. During felicitation one of the Senior citizen, Mr. Naresh Gupta, 80 years, Trustee of Mangalam Charitable Foundation was appreciated for his noble service to cancer patients working since last 10 years. He added that presently 80 cancer patients and their care givers are residing at their Kharghar centre near Tata Memorial Hospital, (ACTREC) and providing food and milk to them. Managing Trustee Mr. Naresh Gupta informed that Mangalam Trust reimburses the return journey railway ticket for one attendant. Cost of routine medicines are also reimbursed to BPL patients against the proper proof. He also appreciated the contribution of Mrs. Archana Jain one of the Directors of Mangalam Trust who is organizing Yoga classes and meditation classes for early recovery of patients.
